- Shannon Blake is our Guest speaker for Tuesday May 3rd. Please give her a warm welcome
- The Month of May is all about the "Fill a Freight Truck" project. Each Tuesday will touch on it in some way.
- Pitch N Praise is this month! Expect God to do AMAZING things. Tents are needed. Contact Ian
- Please note the TIME CHANGES for youth group on May 24th and the DIFFERENT drop off and pick up locations! See below for details
- May 31st is the Tuesday before the Fill A Freight Truck event on Saturday June 4th. We are going to put out flyers to our community for a food drive we are going to do as a whole church on Friday June 3rd. So, bring your running shoes because we got a lot of ground to cover!
Detail on Events in May:
TUES, MAY 3RD: 7pm-9pm for Gr 6-12 @ Highview. We have a Guest Speaker this Tuesday! Shannon Blake is coming. She wrote a play called "Wonderful" [See Banner Below] and it is running at a church called Sanctuary in Toronto. She is coming to youth group to share with us her heart for reaching those in poverty.
TUESDAY MAY 10TH: 7pm-9pm for Gr 6-Gr 12 @ Highview. We're going to be getting geared up for the Fill A Freight Truck project.
TUESDAY MAY 17TH: 7pm-9pm for Gr 6-Gr 12 @ Highview. This Tuesday is the just before Pitch N Praise. We're going to be highlighting the "Fill A Freight Truck" station we are going to be running at Pitch this year.
PITCH N PRAISE: Friday Night to Monday Afternoon from May 20th - 23rd we are going to Paris Ontario for Pitch N Praise. It's going to be an awesome year this year. We're actually going to be leading a social action station as an elective for this weekend! Yessssss. It's not too late to register a friend! More details to come. We need tents this year! Can anyone help!
TUESDAY MAY 24TH: Right after Pitch we have an awesome Social Action/Volunteering opportunity. We're going to help the Food Bank in Kitchener with sorting out food in their main facility. Please see The Food Bank of Waterloo Region Event for IMPORTANT CHANGES and DETAILS below]
TUESDAY MAY 31ST: 7pm-9pm for Gr 6-Gr 12 @ Highview. We are likely to be doing a mass flyer distrubution this night for the "Fill A Freight Truck" project. More on this later.

Drop Off: 5:50/6pm @ The Food Bank of Waterloo Region
Pick Up: 9:00pm @ McDonald’s on 715 South Ottawa St Kitchener, ON
Cost: Bring pocket money for a snack at McDonald’s
Who: All Junior and Senior students are invited to come. We will do a head count of who is coming on Tuesday May 3rd
What: We are going to have an opportunity to be shown the Food Bank facility at Waterloo Region and sort food for the Food Bank. It is a great opportunity to give back to our community. After we are finished at the Food Bank at 8pm we are going to go down to the McDonald’s on the corner of Alpine and Ottawa to talk and share our experience together.
